We had the pleasure of collaborating with Director Édgar Pêra, who shared valuable insights into how media and posters were used at the time as powerful tools of communication and creative expression.

Kino-Revolução was a project created to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution. I worked on it when I was 18, alongside my school colleagues, as part of an educational initiative.
Our inspiration came from the original colour propaganda posters of the era. Using green screen techniques and post-production editing, I placed the recorded interview with Director Édgar Pêra into the faces of these historical posters—creating a visual blend of past and present.
The project was developed for educational purposes and remains a meaningful example of how history, theory, and creativity can come together through film.
As part of our approach, we also explored the Kuleshov Effect—a film editing technique that shows how viewers derive deeper meaning from the interaction of two sequential shots than from a single shot in isolation. This concept informed our editing choices, helping us to build layers of meaning through juxtaposition and context.
